youth also do "microchurch" in person and online, using discovery bible study methods.

This simple format empowers youth to take the lead. Anyone can facilitate a group studying any passage of the Bible. This simple format helps to catalyze our youth to become disciples who make other disciples.

in this day and age, culture can be tough to navigate...
we desire to help guide our young people in three main areas:

1. To become spiritually alive, through a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. To get to know Jesus and build a relationship with Him that unites them to Jesus and His family.
3. To discover the purpose in Jesus that will lead them to missional life actions that God has uniquely designed for them.

young people begin to...

• Understand God's plan of salvation for them, and how to share it.
• Know who they are and what they have in Christ.
• Know and study what God's Word says about key principles of the Kingdom of God gospel that Jesus preached.
• How to stand for Christ in the midst of culture.
• To know the love of Christ for themselves and give it to others.
• To grow fruits of the spirit in their lives.
• To operate in a lifestyle of servanthood in honor to Christ our King.

connecting students to purpose

Part of finding our purpose in Christ is learning what types of gifts and talents we have, and experiencing ways to use them. We desire our youth to feel ownership in their church, and by helping them find unique ways to serve, shadow or apprentice adults in various ministries, or by taking part in service or outreach ministry projects, they can get develop awareness of where they believe God is calling them to serve Him.

• Catalyze youth as ministry leaders within their sphere of inflluence
  
• Disciple and model for youth how to disciple others using simple and effective methods like Discovery Bible Studies using relational environments like MicroChurches.
  
• Empower youth to plan and implement projects within the church and community.
• Apprenticeships with various ministry teams within the church.
• Training in ministry, evangelism, and areas of service.
• Students can join Mission Trips locally, regionally, and overseas.
• Organizing fun outings for fellowship, and evangelistic outreach to other youth.
• Collaboration with other area youth groups as possible.
• Student camping ministry opportunities through our affiliate camp, Camp Living Waters (church helps with cost)

youth-driven planning

This age group is learning how to function in their stage of independence. For that reason, we partner with youth to find out what interests them, and seek to empower them in our planning process. As youth show leadership, they will be considered for our "student leader" positions, which are reserved for a junior or senior in high school that is showing exemplary leadership qualities. This person will assist in certain aspects of youth group, learn to help facilitate some of our activities, and will be showing strong development in all three guidance areas above.
